What is SpoofCard?

SpoofCard a device that allows you to change the caller ID display when you call contact someone. User friendly and accessible, all you have to do is simply dial Spoofcard’s toll free number or local number in your country and then enter you PIN. Automatic instruction will then prompt you to enter the destination number followed by the number you wish to appear on the caller ID.

Is SpoofCard Legal?

UNITED STATES

All the feature of Spoofcard is legal in the US. However, certain uses are illegal depending on which state you are calling from and to. For instance, a couple of states have passed laws that make it illegal to spook caller ID for certain intentions, such as “to mislead, defraud or deceive the recipient of a telephone call”. You then have to determine whether the use you will make of the service is legal in the state where you are calling from and the state where the party you are calling is located, before you start using the spoofing capability of Spoofcard.

More so, it is illegal under the law of numerous states to record telephone conversation without informing the recipient. Once again, before you start using the recording feature of Spoofcard, check both state you are calling from and to whether it is legal to record the conversation without informing the other party. If you are unsure whether such recording is legal in both states, we advise that you protect yourself from possible state criminal prosecution by informing the other party that you are recording the conversation. Spoofcard does not monitor conversations to determine whether they are being legally spoofed or recorded. Can I spoof internationally with SpoofCard?

SpoofCard offers the ability to make international calls without displaying the caller ID. Only to countries where caller ID technology is compatible with the called ID signaling system used in the United States will have the ability to display the spoofed caller ID you choose. If the technology in the country you are calling is not compatible there will be no caller ID or a different caller ID will appear than the one you have selected.
